Early Literacy

  • Literacy is the ability to read, write, listen, speak, and create texts in ways that enable us to communicate effectively with others.

  • Reading with children from an early age builds a solid foundation for literacy.

  • Reading age-appropriate books aloud to the children during regular story times.

  • Children can explore books independently at a cozy reading corner that has comfortable seating.

  • We set up some writing activities to develope children's writing skills.

Art

  • Children can explore painting and drawing by using different paint colors,  brushes, and sponges.

  • Incorporate different themes into your art curriculum to keep it interesting.

  • Focus on the process of creating art rather than the final product.

  • Setting up art activities outside, such as using chalk to draw pictures on walls and the floor

  • Be flexible and open to spontaneous art activities based on children's interests and ideas.

S.T.E.M

  • STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

  • At our daycare, STEM will be explored in a fun, age-appropriate, and engaging way through play, discovery, and exploration, such as gardening, counting, sorting, measuring, building with blocks, cardboard, and recycled materials, and so on.

Outdoor Play

  • We value being outside and believe utdoor play allows for unobstructed free play, problem-solving skills, self-regulation, risk-taking, and large body movements.

  • We plan outdoor play every day, considering the weather to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the children. Our schedule remains flexible, allowing us to adjust activities as needed to make the most of each day’s conditions.

  • During good weather, more time will be spent outdoors, and in very hot or very cold weather, plans may be adjusted.
